When you say bid more, do you mean decreasing bids on non performing segments? Pretty sure you can’t increase bids, only lower..

Yep, bid less on non-performing segments so performing segments have higher relative bids. I don't remember if you can increase the bid multiples (1.5x) so you're probably right.

Just tested, 1.0 is max. Still this is a great feature. I run auto lead gen campaigns, variable payouts per city… Very helpful!

Thank you so much, as there is no resource out there with this info. Is there a change history for any bid modifications pushed from the Marketing API graph? I cannot seem to see any in the UI of ads manager. I got a true message, but not entire sure if its working. I delivered my bid modifucations from the Meta Graph API explorer, instead of the Google Collab. Would that cause any issue?

Hi Jason, you should be able to see a changelog entry in the ad set you added bid multipliers to. Click 'See History' on that ad set. Going through the Meta Graph API explorer shouldn't be an issue. Lmk if this helps!

Edit: Your account has to be whitelisted by a Facebook CSM before this works unfortunately. I tried going through basic Meta support and they don't have the power. So if you haven't been whitelisted yet this could be why you aren't seeing it in the UI.

Thank you for the quick response Manson. Yes, my account manager whitelisted me and before he did I was getting an "OAuthException" code 3 error. Now it executes and finishes with a "true" printed message. I realized I might have been using my sandbox key when I was getting a true message. So no changed history.

Now I am using the right key and realizing the issue might be I am trying to apply changes to an ASC campaign. Are bid modifications only available on manual campaigns? I am now not getting a "true" message but this error mesage "Invalid ad set param(bid_adjustments) to create an ASC ad." I tried it on a manual campaign, no issue and saw it in the change history. Do you know if ASC campaigns are limited from all or some bid modifications? Thanks again.

Hi Jason, seems you're making good progress. Tbh, I've never tried bid multipliers on an ASC campaign. Maybe your rep knows more? It could be that it doesn't work on ASC campaigns. If I recall correctly, you can apply bid multipliers on DCO ad sets

Just leaves room for more testing. ASC looks to not be allowed but might be later. Makes sense why it wouldn't be allowed. Thanks again for all your help here. It worked very nicely for my other campaigns.
