Parabolica #49 - 3 things I learned after talking to over 51 growth marketers in the last 30 days
Sovran at $300 MRR
Hey it’s Manson,
Here’s what I learned after talking to over 51 in-house and agency performance marketers, creative strategists, and video editors in the last 30 days.
1. Creative Velocity - “Feed the machine”
Speed is the name of the game.
The more impressions on an ad, the quicker it decays.
If you want to scale, you need a constant pipeline of ads.
Especially on TikTok, where creatives fatigue after 48 hours.
Less so on Meta, but the relationship between impression → decay holds.
2. Creative Diversity
Yes, teams want to iterate more but also need time creating new concepts by:
Researching
Writing briefs
Writing new scripts
Finding what’s trending on TikTok
Looking at what the competition is doing
3. Modular Creative Strategy isn’t widely adopted
Many video editors still don’t understand the importance of modularity and speed.
What else can I learn from this?
I want to reduce that bit of friction so you see the value quicker.
The ability to upload video ads to disassemble within Sovran is coming soon.
A few other things
Modular creative and speed resonates a lot with gaming companies.
Think about ‘sound-first’ ads because 95% of people on TikTok/Reels have sound-on.
Vibing with the new black and white visuals? Learning to design in Figma.
The Pricing Roadmap is a killer book. Resonating with hybrid usage- and tier-based pricing models.
Have a good week.
Your amigo,
Manson
