Parabolica #44 - Attention is all you need
batch hook iterations, attention is all that matters, new A/B Testing API on Facebook
Hey! It’s Manson.
I built a new feature for Sovran.ai - batch hook iterations!
Still manually exporting each and every video creative iteration?
You can create up to 8 iterations at once (4 hooks x 2 controls), name them with your naming convention, and then download.
Top advertisers are always testing hooks. It’s an easy and effective way to refresh top creatives:
Instead of dragging a new hook and clicking export 8 times on CapCut or Adobe Premiere…
You can batch them on Sovran.ai and spend the saved time on TikTok, playing with your doggo, or making second lunch ;)
This leads nicely into the next section of the post…
Sean Frank, CEO of Ridge Wallet, says “Attention is the only thing that matters.”
I want to decode the second line with my thoughts:
Meaningful: not click-bait
Repeatable: process-driven
Actable: drives sales
What can you do to systematically get attention?
Test your hooks.
Which leads nicely into the final section of the post…
On November 16th, Facebook released a feature to A/B test Reels on your Facebook page. You can upload a few variations, pick an optimization event, and the winner will automatically publish to your Facebook page.
For each new podcast, they test 100 thumbnails for CTR on Facebook. The winning thumbnail gets to be on their YouTube channel.
This sort of testing isn’t new to performance marketers.
This is an interesting new way to test upper-funnel metrics with hook variations, especially if you are transitioning into a control video for cheap.
You need a large following on your Facebook page for faster results. I would test either “LINK_CLICKS” or “AVG_TIME_WATCHED” to start.
Cool. You made it to the end!

Use Sovran.ai. I am bootstrapping it.
I get to pay my bills. You scale performance video ads 10x faster.
Win-win.
